Preparing for the 80's Birthday Party...

M&N was asked to put together a "Totally 80's" birthday party. Noah and I had fun preparing for the "Totally 80's" party. I was an 80's kid, so I knew that Noah and I could rock this party! The prep started with designing the invitations and then moved on to prepping for the photo booth.We decided to line the inside of the photo booth with a spatter painted lining.

Once we finished the linings, we were on to building the frame for the photo booth. Noah came up with the design for the booth and we started constructing. Well, I stood and held the boards why he cut and used the nail gun. He did the hard stuff. :)

Look at those mad skills! You see what I did there? (it's a "skil" saw..) Okay okay, I'll stop. (-:


The finished product! Noah is the MAN!! Now to transport to party site and cover.

Once we arrived at the party location, Noah got to work attaching the sheets while I started putting up the party decorations.


The 80's Boombox Cake!


The layers was made with yellow cake, two layers of chocolate and another layer of yellow cake. All layers had pink butter cream icing between them. YUM! All of the exterior icing was made with butter cream frosting. The kids were anxiously waiting for us to take off the handle that were made out of Three Musketeers and icing.

Woo Hoo!! The photo booth is complete and ready for the kids to have pictures taken!

Wreath making class with Southern Home & Garden Club...

Last night the Southern Home & Garden Club had M and N give a wreath making class. We had a phenomenal time visiting and being artsy! Take a look below for our final products.

L.A.W. made this colorful spring wreath with initial. She has some ribbon that she will be adding to it at a later date, but for now she liked the simplicity of this wreath.

D.M. made this wedding shower wreath. Sometimes simple is better.

K. W. found her artistic side last night. All I had to with student was show her a picture to go by and tell her to add a few things here and there and she did the rest. Fantastic job K.W.!!!

D.T. was a wonderful student. She was so eager to learn.

C.K.'s Spring Wreath was made from a grapevine wreath with Hot Pink Glitter Sprigs, Fuchsia Daisies, Lime Green w/white polka dot Daisies and Blue & White Mesh Ribbon

L.W. made a festive spring wreath. Again, I showed the picture and she went with it. I love the added touch of the Turquoise Feather!!

We will help you from start to finish. Instruct us on what to put where and how you want it. If you want to mix it up a little bit, we will be more than happy to offer suggestions on new placements or innovative ways to reinvent your existing décor.

We are fully armed with all of the “tools of the trade”. We will also come back and take it all down! It is that easy. Call today and check one more thing off your “to-do list” for 2012!

Q. How soon do I need to reserve my decorating/event date?

A. Now!! 2012 is filling up fast.

Q. Do I have to be there during the installation of my decorations/preparation for my event?

A. No. If you are comfortable with us being at your home, you won’t have to be on site during the installation process. We will consult with you ahead of time for what you want and where you want it.

Q. My family likes to decorate the Christmas tree; can you decorate the rest of the house & not the tree?

A. Absolutely! We will put the tree up, as well as the lights and leave the rest to do as a family.

Q. Do I have to take down the decorations/clean up my event myself, or can you do that?

A. For a small take down/clean up fee, we will do this for you, not a problem. (See pricing below for details)

Q. What if my decorations become damages by weather or during an event?

A. If it is an error on our part, (Proof is needed) there will be no charge associated with repairs. You may purchase an insurance policy to protect your decorations from weather or any other unforeseen accident. (For policy pricing and claims information see bottom of page.)

Q. Is there a baseline charge?

A. Yes. There is a 2-hour per job minimum plus any expenses that might apply. This charge will be applied to a job if we are asked to return and do additional decorating or repairs. (Does not apply to valid insurance claims.)

Q. What can I do to be prepared ahead of time? (Optional)

A. 1) Know where all of your decorations are.

2) Have a game plan. Where do you want the décor to go?

3) Have your decorations out of storage. We will do this if it is something you

need help with or do not want to do.

4) Pre-sort decorations if desired.

5) You can never have too many Christmas lights, so have extra lights on hand just in case.

6) The more prepared your game plan; the sooner your home/event becomes what you have always wanted. (Taking these steps will save you time and money.)

Q. What if I want you to design a new décor for me?

A. We will be glad to consult with you and plan a design that fits your lifestyle.

$25.00 Per Hour Plus Expenses
Additional Features:
$30.00 Per 2 hours “Clean Up" Service if Scheduled Up Front
$50.00 Per 2 hours “Clean Up” Service if Scheduled Post event/holiday
$15.00 Insurance Policy (Protects against up to $100.00 in Weather Damage and Various Other Mishaps. Contact Us for Specific Coverage Details.)

You provide the ladders. If you don’t have ladders or safe ladders (our discretion) we can provide those for an additional fee of $10.00.

WE WILL NOT:

Work alone.

Connect electric wires that are old and frayed.

Climb on anything except a ladder to hang décor or decorate trees.

Return to do additional work during another appointment. You must schedule a time with us.

Work with other clients or perform personal errands during another client’s scheduled time, unless otherwise discussed and determined.
